Peaceful Premises

Our founders, David and Jean, converted a former blacksmith’s workshop in Camborne themselves, to be the modern funeral home it is today. They chose every aspect of our design and worked tirelessly to create their vision, so our customers would feel welcome and accommodated when they needed to visit. We want to cater for everyone, so we’ve made sure we have accessibility for all. We also have a private chapel of rest, an arranging room, and office.

  I would like to commend David Hendy’s on their fantastic service. We met with Sam and from the onset we felt reassured that our mum Heather Dorothy Burchell was going to be looked after with the utmost dignity and care. Sam was very attentive and if he was unable to answer any of our questions he managed to find the answer and communicate to our family straight away. On the day of the funeral we received great care from Sam & his team who did not treat mum’s day as just another….the whole to team  genuinely felt our grief and treated us admirably right up to the end and the burial was again treated in a very loving way.   We cannot thank Caleb and the entire team enough for the incredible care, compassion, and support they gave our family during one of the hardest times in our lives. From the very first moment Dad came into their care, every single detail was handled with such dignity, respect, and kindness. What truly stood out was how personal they made everything. They took the time to understand who Dad was and tailored every detail to reflect his character and presence, even down to the coffin. Nothing felt generic — everything felt meaningful and chosen with genuine care to honour the person he was. The Chapel of Rest was absolutely beautiful and brought so much peace and comfort to our family. Seeing Dad presented so respectfully meant more than words can express. Throughout the entire process, the staff showed endless kindness, patience, and understanding, not only towards Dad and his final journey, but towards all of us as a family. No question was ever too much, and their support never once wavered. The service itself was handled beautifully, and we truly felt Dad was honoured in the most perfect way possible. We are beyond grateful for everything they did for us and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting compassionate, personal, and exceptional funeral care.   Over the last approaching 2 years, both of my second cousins have passed away. David Hendy Funeral Services officiated at both funerals & subsequent cremations. In these difficult circumstances, Caleb represented his family organisation with genuine professionalism & compassion. In life my cousins were very close as sisters, but still their own persons too. Caleb quickly a tuned to my desire to have similar arrangements made for both ladies but reflecting their personality differences too. His attention to detail was impressive, besides his appropriate & timely suggestions, which were appreciated. As Caleb commented, ‘ It has to be right, we only get one chance at giving Maureen the send- off in which she deserves’.

  I contacted David Hendy and Sons in September following the death of my mother. I had never had to organize a funeral before. From the moment I first met Caleb I were impressed by his sensitivity, compassion and professionalism. Caleb explained and guided us through the process. He liaised with the florist and celebrant, his care and respect making all the difference. Communication was excellent, every email was answered promptly. The service was everything we wanted and your help in making that happen was much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent service.   I cannot fault the service provided by David Hendy Funeral Services. They looked after us for my mother's funeral a few years ago and were sublime so we used them again for my father's funeral too. Caleb especially was first class, offering advice throughout what is of course a difficult process for the family. They were patient, not rushing us at all even when we were nearing deadlines for making some decisions. The service was conducted beautifully. I will be eternally grateful for everything that they have done for us. If you want the best send off for your loved one, and be looked after along the way, then look no further.
